I've missed my family so much over this past year. I'm so thrilled that this year I get to spend Mother's Day weekend in Massachusetts!! As I was thinking about Mother's Day this year, I decided to look at some old photos. I found this one of my mom and me, taken 3 days after I was born and she became a mom for the first time. She wrote on the back, "Jan. 4, 1976 Truesdale Hospital, Fall River You were the most beautiful infant in the nursery! And we were the proudest parents!" I am grateful for my mom everyday, and I especially want her to know today, on Mother's Day, how lucky I am to have her in my life. All I can say is THANK YOU and that is not even enough.
In addition to my mom, I have great female role models in my life. Aunts, cousins, in laws, friends, colleagues, and more! Mothers are the strongest women I'll ever meet and I hope they all know how amazing that they are. It truly does take a village and none of us would be where we are today without amazing moms...our own and others who come into our lives in big and small ways.
I hope all the moms out there enjoy their special day. Happy Mother's Day!
