A few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to travel to Massachusetts to photograph a wedding and visit family and friends. Being there for this wedding was very special to me for several reasons.
First, I have known the bride since she was in elementary school, she is the best friend of my cousin. I knew her all through her childhood and also photographed her proms and took her senior photos. It meant a lot to me to be there for her BIG day!
Next, my two cousins were in the wedding party. It was fun to be there with them while they celebrated with their lifelong friends and took part in the wedding. I knew most of the wedding party as well. They all looked gorgeous and genuinely enjoyed themselves so much!
Another wonderful thing about photographing back in Massachusetts is that I got to partner up with my sister-in-law Jen (Jennifer Lima Photography) again! When I lived in MA, we used to shoot weddings together all the time. We stepped right back into our roles like a day never passed and had so much fun working together again! I loved being back in action with my partner in crime!
Another reason that this wedding was so special to me was watching family and friends come together to celebrate in person. We all know how many weddings, trips, and events have been canceled since 2020 and it was heartwarming to see everyone celebrating, hugging, dancing, and just loving being together again.
Finally, I was able to take this opportunity to visit family and friends. After not being able to travel for over a year...it's been so great to be able to see my New England peeps again! This is something I will never take for granted. The wedding was a great reason to sneak in another trip up North!
The day was FILLED with laughter, enjoyment, and love. Take a look at a few of my favorite moments.
