I love to share my photography adventures with all of you, check back often!
Although I'm no longer teaching, back to school time is one of my favorite times of the year. Everyone just enjoyed their summers and are ready for the new adventures ahead. There is always a positive buzz in the air as college students return and local students and teachers get ready for the year ahead. I've always looked at a new school year like a new year. Time to set goals, make new routines, reset and switch things up a bit after a summer of fun. This year I'm looking forward to exercising in some cooler temps, revisiting and trying new Fall recipes, and of course football. How about you? What are your new school year goals or what are you looking forward to about Fall?
I wish ALL educators and students the best year yet!! Happy New School Year!
I'm booking for Fall and don't forget, for every event and session I book, I donate to a local classroom via Donors Choose.
In honor of the new school year, here's a little throwback for you...my senior photo circa 1994

Midsummer is usually pretty quiet for me. Due to the extremely hot weather and people doing a lot of traveling and day/weekend trips I don't normally book many sessions/events in July and August. Now that traveling and events are back in full swing, I kind of overbooked my summer with FUN! My husband and I have gone to several concerts and comedy shows. We got to see Jimmy Buffett, The Lumineers, Vance Joy, James Taylor, Nemesh Patel, Jana Kramer, and Jared Freid. We took trips to Nashville, Wilmington, and Ocean isle. It's been so much fun being back out in the wild! I've also had some girl time, including 2 trips to MA/RI and a getaway to Folley Beach and Charleston, SC. Next up we are headed to New England to go to my cousin's wedding and visit family, can't wait!
Summer is my favorite season, but I am looking forward to Fall activities, cooler weather, and photo sessions. I'm already booking for September and October so if you want to get on my calendar, let me know! I also have some fun Fall and Holiday mini sessions in the works, so stay tuned for more information on that.
Off to the pool! What have you been doing this summer? I'd love to hear about it!

The nation’s first Father’s Day was celebrated on June 19, 1910, in the state of Washington. However, it was not until 1972—58 years after President Woodrow Wilson made Mother’s Day official—that the day honoring fathers became a nationwide holiday in the United States.
I'm New England-bound and get to celebrate Father's Day with my Dad this year! Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there, and especially mine. The man who is the hardest worker I know, so much fun, and just loves his family with all his heart + more and loves, loves spending time with everyone. I know you'll be on the golf course, where you belong, but glad we have the weekend to spend time together and celebrate! You're the best Dad and Boppa out there!

I love giving gifts! And Spring is practically busier than December for gift giving. We have Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, graduations, end of year teacher gifts, weddings, and in my family, several birthdays. Need some gift ideas? Photography makes such a special present and there are so many different ways to do it.

The American incarnation of Mother’s Day was created by Anna Jarvis in 1908 and became an official U.S. holiday in 1914. Jarvis would later denounce the holiday’s commercialization and spent the latter part of her life trying to remove it from the calendar. Source: history.com
Moms are quite special and they deserve more than one day to be thanked for all they do every single day and beyond. But of course we make sure our moms feel extra special on their day. This year I will celebrate with my mom one week later, and I can't wait to hug her!

Happy Mother's Day to all the rockstar moms out there!!!!
